Blogging is a popular and relatively easy way to make money online. Over the last few years especially it has taken off and people of all ages and all across the world have been setting up blogs. They are used for business, entertainment, a way to express an opinion and your feelings, and with the aim of making money.

In order to successfully blog for profit then you have a number of options available to you.

One option is through the use of Niche E-commerce. Now if you can successfully create a blog which has some good traffic and there is a related product or products associated with your niche, then these can be sold yourself through an e-commerce store. If you are passionate about a subject and enjoy the process of writing your blog then you could find yourself become an authority on the subject. If you create quality blog posts in your niche and have loyal readers then you have a great number of prospects you can market to. You could build a list which would give you a good number of prospects and make your website a lot more valuable.

One final way we should look at is affiliate marketing. Creating a blog with product reviews and information can earn some extra income when readers click through to the site and possibly purchase the product. If you can optimize your posts for the product title itself you will have highly targeted traffic who were probably considering buying anyway. You can read more on this at Affiliate Idol.

As I said, I am retiring all the make money online guide but rather set up projects that report my current findings when applying my projects through the means of search engine marketing and or social marketing. The best way for me to start a new project probably is developing a website that runs some contextual ads services on certain topics that interested most people and also monetize that website or blog through the means of promoting others people products or affiliate marketing. Unlike other blogs, I want to make my case studies as real as possible. That is I am really revealing my actual money making campaign for free.. Sounds crazy?! No I do it on purpose, since there are so many “gurus” out there that claim you can make money online by ordering their products and usually these are bunches or hypes with no real case studies.

My purpose here is providing real case studies or example that myself is working on and also gain more experience on SEO or setting up a PPC campaign. Before moving on, the first step that one must do is by researching what keywords or markets are actually hot.

My topic will be “speed dating”, If you check on the numbers of results in Google, there are currently about 6-7.3 million websites talking directly or indirectly about the subject matter.

Well the first step of SEO or search engine optimization is actually the art of picking keywords.. if you pick a right set of key phrase , in theory, it generates huge amount of traffic and also sales of your website.

Market research revisit

A successful niche start with a good marketing research plan. There are many methods & tools that you can find out your niche. One way to do it is by means of keyword research. The more number of times of a keyword is searched on a search engine, the more popular it is. There are some favorite keyword research tools on the market, one that I am using is Wordtracker. It gives you some sub niches or micro niches ideas that sells. Watch the following video on how to use this tool.

What to sell on Year 2008?

Google zeitgeist gives you what topics or keywords that most people searched around the world the year before. From Celebrities, news, to iphone, ringtone, you found it all. You can find the statistic here .

Also there is a tool named Google Trends which shows how hot is a topic in last few hours. You can use this tool to earn money as well.
