some don’t let you advertise at all. So it is advised that you don’t register on forums and posting your referral links immediately. (and in fact most forums do not allow affiliate or referral links at all!). So how do you drive traffic? Some forums let you put a link to the signature file. As I said most online forums do not allow affiliate links, the way to work around is to use an immediate site. The immediate sites can be your blog, a squidoo lens, a hubpage, any post on blogger, wordpress.com etc. Then you embedded your affiliate link on your blog post, so that if whoever read your article and click your link, you’ve a referral.

But before you do that, you need to make as many posts as possible on those “make money online” forums. Most people advise you go and answer other peoples questions as it will label you as a “guru”.
Also you can make posts that ask controversial questions such as which is better format when you email to your subscribers “HTML or plain text?”. This way your signature will be publicized and increase the chance of being clicked !

However you need to aware, forums are sensitive in spamming and advertising, so if the moderators found you advertise in the area that you don’t suppose to advertise, or you just repeat your post in various thread, most likely they will first warn you and/or ban you(depends on the forums rules). So be warned!

Yesterday, I talked about “How do you make money with JV giveaway”. Today I would like to show you how to build a huge list when contributing the giveaway events.

Quality of gifts

There are 2 important aspects when speaking of quality of gifts.

• Freshness and
• Uniqueness

We can illustrate the above points by looking at an example below:

Imagine a moment you are the member. Every time you signed up for a giveaway event, you saw the same things. At the end of the date, would you bother to sign up for another one? “No, definitely not!
They are just the old stuffs that keep repeating!” This most likely what other people think as well. Therefore the freshness of your gift(s) is(are) important!

Also, when you signed up to a giveaway site, you saw at least 5 people are giving away exactly the same gift, you also you don’t bother sign up all, you probably just sign up one. The event host most likely will not let this happens: since what’s the point signing up to the site if most gifts are the same?

Therefore the best gift I think is to make your own product. It does not necessary to be a Private Label rights (PLR) , Master Resale rights (MRR) product but it is made by your own especially if you have special skills that are hot but little people know how to do it. For example, last Easter giveaway , I saw a fellow marketer, made his own gift by giving up video tutorials on “how to install Wordpress on Cpanel hosting account”, “how to make the wordpress blog more search engine friendly” and how to make it more professional look. When I looked at their gifts stats, I found his gifts were quite hot. Probably 1 to 20 people will download his video and see how to do that. This is quite a good example on what you can do for giveaway gift. Also the gift was not a PLR nor MRR product but it was unique and not many people did the same thing as him. Therefore he did earned some amount of subscribers from that site.

Of course the “quality of gifts” will give you some subscribers but it will not give you the maximum numbers of what the site can give you.
