Last time we talked about the essential of having a landing in any affiliate program. This time I want to show you an interesting fact that I experiment with the Biggest Firesale affiliate offer, multiple listing of of my chosen keywords:
As you see in the figure, one is this site: “prosoncheng.com/biggest-firesale-bonus” the other is squidoo.com/biggest-firesale-bonus. So What the heck squidoo is?
Introduction of Squidoo
Squidoo is a web 2.0 property where every registered can add a lens (or a normal web page) which described anything the writer themselves like including adding links which points to their web sites.
As an example, consider my other lens about christmas gifts ideas
where you will see a link at the bottom which points to other website called 188christmasgifts.com.
Why Squidoo?
The reason I use squidoo is the Google Page Rank of the site index page is quite high, 8/10. So according to some SEO professionals, when gathering links from this high page rank value site is the will suggest you look at the page rank value of the site index page then consider if you should get a link linking with you site. Squidoo definitely fits in this criteria and what’s more Squidoo is well established site, so have your squidoo lens rank well in search engine is a lot easier compare to a site which is just established.
Multiple search engine listing
To achieve multiple listing, the key here is to use a long tail keywords. Terms like “your program name” review, “the affiliate program name” bonus, “the affiliate program name” falls into this criteria. For my case I use “biggest firesale bonus”. After you decide your keywords, start writing your squidoo lens title as the “affiliate program name” review or bonus like that and also repeat the keywords in the body around three times. Don’t forget to add a link to your main site. In my case, I added three times as you can see here: Example Squidoo lens.
Once you finished with that, you still need to gather links for your lens. For my case, since it is related to internet marketing, I add the links in the signature file of the forums which I am a member of, e.g. Warrior forum, several web master forums and domain forums as well.
The results and conclusion
I actually don’t expect the results being so well, but indeed I’ve got multiple listing work and rank top 5 in Google for particular setup. As the final word, you can use hubpages, Clipsmarks, bumpzee, Google pages and so on to achieve that kind of result as well in theory. But I only just tried withhubpages and squidoo which my other keyword in Hubpages rank top 20 in Google as well.
