Duplicate Content Penalty is a Myth!
This issue has been mumbling around the Internet for a while. People keep asking it in online discussions forums and finally Google official webmaster blogs comes to a conclusion,
Let’s There’s no such thing as a “duplicate content penalty.” At least, not in the way most people mean when they say that.
. And they continue to say one thing, “if your sites are all about republishing others people articles, and NOT adding any additional value to it, it is discouraged by the webmaster guidelines.” Wow! A Relief?
In fact, I read a blog post that talk about this subject and the author mentioned a good point,
Think about it, the whole Internet is about information and distribution of information, if Google penalize duplicate content, CNN, Bloomberg, BBC and other news network will go offline, de-list from Google, right?
Well those news site basically use RSS feeds to aggregate information faster, in other words they share the same information in some senses and we as an Internet marketer is our responsible to add value to our information that we provide. I am sure there is some other bloggers blog the same issue as mine or the one that I’ve read but it doesn’t matter, he has some points to make and I also have something to express for in this issue : )
Anyway it is my thought. I will start a blog post about the greatest myths about ranking your site in Google later on this week so stay tune!
