The second essential tools for internet markters or netrepreneur may be is Autoresponder. After all we are taught “Money is in the responsive list”. For the last 7 months, I have used 4 autoresponder services including one being a self hosted one. They are Aweber, GetResponse, Responsebot Autoresponse Plus. Again, I don’t recommend every autoresponder service to my readers, I will look at their deliverability, company reputation, price and features.

After using those services for at least 2 months, I’ve found Aweber is the most reliable and also their features are unbeatable comparing the others 3.

Firstly, they have amazing features like subscribe vs unsubscribe rate, email open rates, links click through rate (inside email messages) All in Graphical formats . As I said I have used several autoresponders and none of them provide this graphical measures.

The second one I like Aweber is one doesn’t have to manually set up the link tracking like I used to with Responsebot or self hosted Autoresponse plus. You just have to enable the link tracking function when writing your email campaign and aweber will automatically set up the special link for you and that’s is no more hassle! It’s really amazing! Of course, they have graphical reports that tells you how many subscribers actually open and click your link. The third thing about Aweber is they have a better email deliverability rate. I tried with my self hosted Autoresponder and Aweber. Sometimes for some reasons when my visitors opt-in to my newsletter, they often couldn’t get the confirmation. But with Aweber, this is less likely the issue, (may be 30% less the issue if I use Autocontact Plus). It is a really important issue. If some one wants to opt-in but they just don’t get the confirmation! This is really bad and is just like you open a botique in the street but you don’t have any products to sell! It’s bad right? So it’s really important to get the best autoresponder that you possibly can.

There are others useful features that may help to decide to join aweber or not:

• Let your subscriber to choose if they want to subscribe in normal email or RSS
• Blog broadcast function where sends a broadcast to your subscribers that you have updated
  your blog so that they might want to read
• and many more

The only draw back of Aweber is they are more expensive than GetResponse or Responsebot and they are charging you on the level of subscribers you get with the service. So if you have really a tight budget, probably it is not for you.
