JV giveaway is the fastest of building a list of targeted subscribers that relevant to your niche. I have some articles covered in the past showing you how you can participate as a contributors in a giveaway and give you a huge list subscribers.

As I received a few times from my subscribers that they would like to run a JV giveaway, today I would like to spend a few moments to explain to you how you can run your first JV giveaway successfully.

5 tricks that you need to run a successful JV giveaway

Trick #1: Find a niche of your giveaway

With so many JV giveaways is taking place around, so why you want to organize another giveaway? I know the primary aim is to build you a list but it is better to focus other niches than just the Internet marketing as a whole. That way it will help you to stand out from the crowd and also help you to build a more targeted list rather than general Internet marketing. For example, I am currently giving away products that are related to search engines such as niche keyword research tools and adsense templates. That way I find what products are my subscribers have most interests to and they will have a higher percentage to buy.

Trick #2: Offer Incentive for JV partners

Quite honest, every one is busy these days. You have to give them some reasons for them to promote your event. From my experience of being a contributors to 10+ JV giveaways (both upgrades or not), I saw the most successful ones are someone that offer some sort of incentives to their JV partners. No matter you are offering cash prizes or some popular electronics gadget like Ipod, you’ve got to offer them something. However, you need to set down the rules to avoid possible abuse. E.g. In Curtis Ng’s Friday Giveaway, he is giving away a total of $1000 cash prizes. And to win you have to get the most referrals from different IPs and also with different names. However, there are still possible abuses if the bad guys used some IP hidden software to generate fake sign ups. That happened before so one way to get around this problem is the partner has to have some upgraded sign ups, minimum 2 at least for examples.

Trick #3: Maximum 14 days

From my past observations, the shortest your giveaways, the better but it can’t be too short. The optimal days to host such as event is something around 10 days. You can run it for a month but your partners will tend to forget promoting the event or they just got too busy with other projects. So 10 days to me worked quite well. Also the start date of your giveaway event is important too. Don’t start it on Mondays, but rather towards the end of the week. Friday is probably the best as most people will have time to get some free stuffs and have a look on their gifts.

In April 30th, I am going to run my first JV giveaway which partners will giveaway free search engine related products which help you to dominate the top search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.
