Make Money Blogging: 3 Reasons On Why Blog Fails?

[ad#image]
While make money blogging seems a popular topic these days, but why there are so many blogs out that can’t drive traffic and hence can’t make any money?

Before I tell you the reasons, first I would like to quote a story of what I read from Carlocab.com , a 16 year old kid who ranks top 10 in Google.com for the keywords “make money online“.

Reason #1:You are NOT Focused

I see many people start blogging and talk about just many things and hope they will get traffic and also some cash from adsense income. Well, the fact is you don’t. For example, most of readers come to read my blogs because they want to “make money online“. They certainly don’t want to read sports, the latest Xbox games review kind of thing here. Since my blog is not devoted to it and I don’t show I am an expert on that. Blogs success because the owners stay focus on their niche and they don’t talk any other thing. For example, John Chow one of the best Known blogger and also 6 figures blogger earner, because he stayed focus on his niche and be an authority of the niche by showing how much did he really make online.

So you need to stay focus and also be an authority on your chosen niche.

Reason #2: You are NOT committed

I know sometimes we are busy and in fact we are lazy to get writing going. But you need to have schedule on posting. You may choose once a week, twice a week or three times a week, like what I am doing now, but you need to stick to your schedule. As Yaro Starak another problogger taught me,
stick your posting at least once a week. Because your readers like fresh contents. A blog is just like publishing a weekly or a monthly magazine. People buy it because of the contents. If you don’t have fresh contents, no one will bother to come back since there are other blogs out there that have fresh contents and your readers just will forget about yours. Trust me, no fresh contents = traffic die eventually. I tried that in the past (not posting regularly) and I don’t want you to follow my footprints.

Reasons #3 You DON’T drive Enough Traffic to Your Blogs

After you have great contents, what’s next? Market it. Of course! But are you driving enough traffic to your blogs? My blogs got about 500 unique per months so far per month as you can see my quantast data. That’s not a lot but I am still receiving some adsense income from it (about $100). That’s not much but it’s a good start. My primary traffic source is natural search traffic, and also my email subscribers. I did also try social bookmarking but it only gives you a traffic boost in certain dates but won’t give you a long term as search engine does. So these days I really just concentrate on SEO and email marketing and that’s it! But whatever is your traffic source. Make sure you master it and implement your plan accordingly.

These are 3 reasons why most people fail on blogging. Next time I will show you how to get more ideas when you are out of topics on what to write so stay tuned!
