Reasons to Use Landing Pages
| The products you want to sell over the internet are all ready. You have even signed up with Google Adsense and other affiliate programs to earn more from your website. You are set on becoming the next big internet success. Is there anything else you failed to prepare? Perhaps you’ve already thought about almost everything but have you |
considered having your own landing pages?
Basically, landing pages are web pages where the web visitors are directed to when they click on a particular ad. For merchant, the landing page is where you would want your prospect to be directed once they click on your ad found in an affiliate’s site. Most of the time, landing pages is almost similar to other web pages especially if the said website is actually an ecommerce website. Some businessmen decide to use their homepage as their landing page but the question is, are they making a mistake in this strategy? Using the homepage might be alright but if you want to achieve a greater impact, you need to create a landing page for your ads. You might be wondering what the reasons are for this; well, here they are:
Earn through your conversion rate
There are many different kinds of affiliate programs available but the merchant needs to pay on a pay per click basis on most of these programs. All you need to do is to develop an affiliate program and submit your ad. The program owner will then distribute the ad to their affiliates who will post it on their websites. When your ad is clicked, you will need to pay the affiliate for the services he rendered.
For a merchant, the most important thing is affiliate conversions. That is, the amount of products the site visitors buy from your website. Without these sales, you will earn nothing from the said program. In addition, the more visitors the affiliate directs to your site, the larger your expense will become. You will only recover these expenses through conversions.
But the thing is, you will not get conversions without a landing page. Not having a landing page is akin to posting an ad without having a store where you can sell your product. Your advertisement might be attractive enough to motivate people to buy but it is through the landing page that they will actually discover how they can purchase the product.
Other web pages might not be enough
A lot of people make the mistake of directing customers to their home page or the contact us page. This is an incorrect strategy because homepages are designed to cater to a wide range of visitors. It also contains a lot of links to other web pages as well as other website. This also holds true for other web pages.
Your landing page should be relevant to what the customer have in mind. Because of this, they should be directed to the landing page with the right keyword and content on it. Your customers should be encouraged to make an actual purchase through the landing page.
